As well as presenting my work as a commercial architectural photographer, I aim, using this weblog as a platform, to investigate architecture and the use of photography, going beyond architectural photography and the imagery that term may suggest. Hence the name of the blog.
I am interested in our experiences of space (open spaces, closed spaces, perception. The psychology of space, windows, doors, stairs, furniture etc.), in our experiences of places (prejudice, expectations, memory, media influence) and in exploring possible approaches to photographing those spaces and places. This area of my work is informed by and incorporates my work as an artist.
Furthermore I intend to develop projects on the blog mostly concerned with current building projects in Radolfzell and around the area of Lake Constance. Again where necessary, adopting an alternative approach.
